Amy Stewart, CNRP, is the lead Advanced Practice Provider for her division of Capital Digestive Care in Washington, DC. She sees all general GI patients, with subspecialties in IBD, IBS, and anal cancer screening. Amy manages the clinical and prior authorization teams for their in-office infusion center, which infuses more than 400 patients each month. She recently was awarded the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) APP Outstanding Research Award, Presidential Poster Award, and Outstanding Poster Presentation for an abstract titled “Time Is of the Essence: An Analysis of IBD Advanced Therapy Initiation in a Large Community Practice.” Amy is a nationally recognized speaker in IBD and anal cancer screening. She serves as the current vice-chair of the American College of Gastroenterology APP Committee, leads the new mentoring subcommittee, and recently joined the GHAPP (GI & Hepatology Advanced Practice Provider) Education Committee. Amy is passionate about APP education and excellent patient-centered care.
